Seek Power

We live in an extremely dependent society, with many calling for more dependency. Governments are growing worldwide, with protesters in the streets calling for even more government control of their lives. As I’ve mentioned before in articles and videos, this crying out is an inability to be still, to observe and release our own rising pain. Unaware that this discomfort stems from within, many want someone else to be responsible, or to make them feel better. I seek power, and there are others I see and admire who are drawing up that great energy from deep within.

Self empowerment is not handed to us by politicians or revolutionaries. And we don’t battle enemies to attain it, we battle ourselves.

How do you trap a wild animal

Many in today’s world seek “free” healthcare, “free” education etc, all these “free” things are far from free, we all pay for them. But beyond that point, we then become dependent on the state.

How do you trap wild animals? Leave out some food in the great expanse, when they eventually settle to eat it, build a fence far behind them. Then leave some more food and build a fence far away, opposite the first fence, and same again for the final two. You now have an enclosure, trapped animals who are becoming dependent on your food. Bit by bit you can move in the fences as you wish, you can change the food perhaps, give them feed that will fatten them, or sedate them. Remind you of anyone?

The opposite of this is the warrior, the spiritual King or Queen, the self empowered, the Master. Self empowerment is attained through our own actions and mindset, it is not a state that is handed to us by politicians or even revolutionaries. We live it, and take control ourselves, of ourselves, not of others, not of the means of production, not of others property.

Many will think of power as in power over others, that is something different entirely, and obviously unhealthy for both parties. However many people wish to either hold power over others or be subjects to others. Look at democracy, look at voters, people willingly go out and wave flags and elect others to rule them, take their property and tell them what to do.

We are gods

Perhaps you think we are just here to get along, to survive, it certainly feels like that at times. But perhaps you feel in your gut, like I do, that we are capable of truly Great feats, I’ve thankfully experienced a few myself.

But self empowerment is terrifying for a huge portion of the planet. Generally as humans we seek out the easier softer way if it’s available but there’s no growth in coasting, we become frustrated and stagnant quickly. If you’ve read or listened to me before you’ll know my take: We are fully responsible for our lives, we draw all of these enjoyable and hard experiences and people to us to grow.

The challenge

Becoming a Master entails taking full responsibility for all that occurs in your life, and also striving for power, power over your self, your ego, your trauma, all that may weigh and drag you down. All that may push and pull you to blame others and the world for your woes. Power over others is weak willed and a separate issue.

The power of the Master, is to remain strong in ones resolve, to have integrity, an open chest, to retain eye contact, a straight spine. To face the world with calm determination. This does not mean to be fearless as such, we may continue to have fear, I certainly do. What is important is how we deal with it, do we retreat, or do we have the resolve to continue regardless and push through.

be still and know that i am god

I seek power. To honour who and what I am, to look beyond what my ego perceives as flaws, or what my ego imagines others will think. Dependency on government, politicians or anybody else is dis-empowering.

Contemplate for a moment what you imagine you may be capable of, consider your potential. Are you powerful? Are you God? What are you capable of? Now also consider what are you prepared to do to access that innate power. What are you prepared to give up, to lose, to step into the fire, to face your deepest darkest secrets and fears? How much do you yearn to be free?

So when I catch myself, slouched, or self conscious among people, or drifting, unconscious, I try to make a point of invoking that power within, the God within, the King, to honour who I am. I am God. It’s not always easy as the ego can be strong, and some days it’s just too much, the fear, the low self esteem, all the lower energy, but when I can, I open my chest, straighten my spine and become present, out of the mind, away from thoughts, drop into the body, the senses, and observe. I call upon my higher self, my God, the Great beings around me, and affirm that I am hungry, I need to be free, powerful, conscious. In that present moment, there is no past or future, there is no fear or ego. In this present moment, there is potential for inspiration, for intuition. A void is created where the spirit, the higher self, God, whatever you want to call it, can breathe through us. Go there yourself, seek it out, call it, pursue it within yourself.
